Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Policies:
    • Formulate and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
    • Create and maintain an annual work plan for the procurement department.

 

  • Procurement:
    • Oversee the procurement of all materials and services.
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers domestically and internationally and lead the supplier qualification process.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
    • Establish and monitor an ongoing cost-saving mechanism.

 

  • Supplier Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues, emphasizing quality assurance performance.
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.

 

  • Order Management:
    • Manage the issuance, tracking, and control of purchase orders.
    • Monitor the status of orders, ensure timely delivery of goods, and ensure synchronization with the planning department and the production plan.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate procurement and delivery of materials.
    • Report on procurement activities, including order status and supplier performance.

 

  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure all purchase orders comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Provide feedback to relevant departments regarding procurement issues and improvements.
    • Maintain and update supplier and product databases, including certifications, commercial terms, and performance metrics.
    • Identify the need for alternative sourcing options for critical items to mitigate risks, cut costs, and ensure continuity of supply.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field – Must. (Master’s degree an advantage)
  • Proven experience in a procurement role within an industrial – Must.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Proven experience in logistics management.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
